App control changes who is in charge
A standard vibrator has one set of buttons and whoever is holding it controls them. An app-controlled vibrator moves that control to a phone, which means the person choosing the settings does not have to be within arm's reach — and the patterns can be changed without interrupting anything.
The trade-off is one more thing to charge and one more pairing step. If that sounds like friction rather than a feature, the wearable designs without app control do the same job with a remote instead.
Straps: the part that decides whether it works
Anything wearable lives or dies by the harness. Ours adjust at the waist and both legs independently, which is what lets them fit properly instead of hanging loose — and a loose harness is the reason most wearable toys end up in a drawer.
Check the adjustment points on the product images before ordering. If a set includes a dildo as well as the harness, that is stated clearly in the description.
Materials and cleaning when two people use it
Anything shared should be non-porous, which in practice means silicone rather than soft TPE. Silicone wipes clean, does not hold bacteria, and can be used with a condom over it if you want to be careful about switching between partners.
Wipe strap and harness hardware with a damp cloth rather than soaking it — the buckles and adjusters do not like being submerged.
