Girth matters more than length

People shop by length because it is the number in the title, but girth is what decides whether something is comfortable. A 3.5 cm shaft and a 4.6 cm shaft are a genuinely different experience, and 3.8 cm is the most manageable width in this range.

The useful rule: pick the diameter you are comfortable with, then choose the length. Starter-size pieces here run 13–18 cm at 3.5–3.8 cm across. The realistic moulds sit at 20–21 cm and 4.5–4.6 cm. Above that, the range is about the suction base and the motor, not the size.

Suction bases, and what they actually stick to

A wide suction cup grips tile, glass, polished stone and most smooth bathroom surfaces. It does not grip painted plasterboard, fabric or a textured wall. The flatter and smoother the surface, the better the hold.

This matters because a suction base is what turns a dildo into a hands-free item. If you want to use something on the floor, the wall or the edge of a bath without holding it, buy the version with the base — it is the single feature that changes how the product is used.

Motorised or not

Where we stock both versions of the same mould, they are identical in size and material — one has a motor in the shaft, the other does not. The motorised version costs more, needs charging, and adds vibration; the manual one is lighter and has nothing to fail.

Double-ended designs are a separate thing again: one head at each end, flexible along the length, and usually longer than a standard dildo. Our 37 cm model bends rather than staying rigid, which is what makes it usable.

Material and lubricant

Most of this range is body-safe silicone or a soft-touch blend, with a few glossy finishes that hold lubricant less well than matte ones. Whatever the finish, use water-based lubricant — silicone-based lubricant will degrade a silicone toy.

Wash after every use with lukewarm water and a pH-neutral toy cleaner, and dry fully before storing. Silicone is non-porous, so it dries quickly and lasts for years.
