A first toy for men: what to buy, and what to skip

Start with a manual stroker, not a machine

The AED 180–220 manual cups are the right starting point. They cost a third of an automatic unit, they are silent, and — most importantly — they tell you what kind of internal texture you actually like.

An automatic stroker is a better second purchase, because by then you know whether you want suction, movement, or neither.

What to skip on a first order

• Anything above 2 kg. A 5.85 kg half body is a commitment to storage before it is a purchase.
• Anything with an app. More to set up, more to go wrong, no benefit on a first device.
• Multi-piece kits. You will use one piece.

Buy the boring extras

Water-based lubricant and, if you are buying a cup with a soft insert, renewing powder. Together they cost about AED 80–90 and they are the difference between a product that lasts months and one that goes tacky in weeks.

This is the least exciting part of the order and the one people skip.

What a first order should cost

A manual stroker around AED 200, a 60 ml lubricant at AED 80, and you are over the free-delivery threshold at AED 200 — so delivery is free.

The one thing to check

Weight. It is on every product page where the supplier recorded it, and it is the number that tells you whether the thing will stay where you put it or need holding.
